Stage 1 Excursion
Stage 1 recently enjoyed a fabulous excursion to Bowraville. First stop was the Folk Museum which was packed full of various items from different time periods. After studying 'The Past in the Present' for this term's History unit, we were able to identify all manner of objects from the past. After the museum we were kindly invited into the Bowraville Fire Station by two of the Fire Fighters. This part of the excursion was not pre-planned but was certainly an added bonus. The students enjoyed lifting the hoses, hearing some information from the Fire Fighters and getting the chance to climb up inside the fire engine. We finished the day with a good old play in the park, which was the highlight for many. The Stage 1 students represented St Mary's so well- we were all very proud of them.
