The Bellinger River RSL sub-Branch is grateful to your school for its past support of the Remembrance Day activities. This year, Remembrance Day will fall on a Tuesday. Your Students and Staff are invited to Pigott Park adjacent to BPS school to participate in our public Service commemorating the 107th Anniversary of Armistice.   The Service will commence at 11 AM with a minutes silence. We request that your participants be at the Lone Pine memorial by 10:55 AM. The school is invited to lay a floral tribute during the Service. It is anticipated that the ceremony will be finished by 11:30 AM.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge that our school resides on the Lands of the Gumbaynggirr Nation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians who have walked and cared for this land for thousands of years and their descendants who maintain these spiritual connections and traditions.

We pay our respect to Elders past, present and future leaders.

We reflect on the millions of footprints that travelled the Dreaming pathways and continue to walk this land today. The Land we are on now, the land we live, work, breathe, eat and sleep: always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.

We walk alongside the custodians of this beautiful country, Australia, as we seek Voice, Treaty and Truth.
